You want to make the best first impression that you can when listing your home. When the public sees your home on the MLS or social media sites, that is usually their first impression.
When preparing for the Photographer or Real Estate Agent to photograph your home, these items are good to consider:
- Let the natural light in to your home by opening the blinds or curtains throughout your home.
- Arrange furniture in a way that it maximizes space and flow in your home.
- Make sure all floors are clean, mopped and/or vacuumed.
- Check that all lights are working and burnt out bulbs are replaced with new bulbs.
- Remove any stained or dirty rugs or mats.
- All clutter should be cleared from counters and shelving and depersonalize as much as possible.
- Turn off electronics and ceiling fans.
- Refrigerators and appliances should be cleared of clutter. This includes photos, magnets, and papers.
- Toilet seats and shower curtains should be closed.
- Pets and pet items should be removed from the home for pictures.
- Wipe down all appliances, sinks and counters.
- Take all garbage out.
These tips could help ensure a good photo shoot of your home. Good Luck!
